In this lithograph, a network of stains, lines and curved forms gathers at the center of the paper. Black gestures coexist with gray areas and lighter marks, creating a composition that seems to expand from an irregular core.
The image balances energy and structure through elements that collide, overlap and disperse. Avakian builds an open abstraction in which every mark retains the speed of its execution.
