In Ánimas, Alejandro Avakian unfolds a monumental painting in which matter seems to move across the surface as an active force. Dark layers, intense reds, yellows and blues build a charged composition, crossed by lines, stains and gestures that overlap like traces of a physical experience.
The work proposes an expansive, almost territorial image, where abstraction becomes presence. Each mark retains the energy of the body that produced it, transforming the painting into a space of collision, memory and apparition.
