Red

Description

In Red, Avakian concentrates the force of the composition in the collision between reds, blacks and blues. Color moves intensely across the surface, generating a vibrant field where the brushstroke becomes action, rhythm and physical tension.

The work builds an image of strong gestural power, crossed by lines that cut through, interrupt and sustain the chromatic matter. Red functions as a core of energy, expanding toward the edges and activating a scene where painting appears as direct, almost urgent impulse.
