Description
In Percepciones, Avakian composes a surface crossed by signs, curves and black lines that seem to emerge and dissolve over the white ground. The image works through repetition and variation of gesture, building an open structure where each form suggests a possible presence.
The work activates an unstable perceptual reading: traces of figures, writings, bodies or movements appear, yet no form fully settles. The painting remains in a state of transition, between appearance and disappearance, like the record of a gaze in motion.
