The composition is organized into two clearly distinct zones: a compact tonal field above and a lower section crossed by closely spaced horizontal lines. The relationship between them creates a slow, measured tension.
The lines accumulate into an optical vibration that contrasts with the density of the upper plane. Krainer uses repetition as a mode of perception, making visible the distance between rhythm, pause and surface.
