Description
Ana Lía Werthein
Stand By I, 2017
-
In Stand By I, a seated figure appears isolated at the center of a wide white field. The body folds into the chair while the head tilts backward, creating a posture suspended between waiting, fatigue, and pause.
The figure's reduced scale and the surrounding emptiness focus attention on bodily gesture. Werthein turns a minimal scene into an image of stillness and contained tension.
