Description
Sofía Llambías
Untitled, 2013
-
In this lithograph, Sofía Llambías builds a figure through a single white contour set against a black field. The line moves continuously across the paper, defining an ambiguous form that evokes the body, a fold and a gesture.
The economy of elements focuses attention on drawing and on the relationship between void and surface. The image holds a quiet tension, sustained by the delicacy of the line and the strength of the contrast.
