This version of Cosmos lunar centers the image on a pale disc occupying the middle of the composition. Against the black background, the lunar surface is marked by craters, stains and shifting densities that give it an almost tactile presence.
Fine lines crossing the space introduce graphic tension around the circle and strengthen the sense of suspension. Gold and silver leaf add reflections that change with the light and emphasize the material character of the work.
