Description
In Balazo, a seated figure folds inward as a red mark descends from the head and crosses the face. The posture combines exhaustion and resistance: the body remains present, yet seems to absorb the impact of something that cannot quite be named.
Grey, pink, and blue layers destabilize the anatomy. Rather than illustrating a wound literally, Romina Juárez turns it into rhythm, matter, and tension, allowing the painterly gesture to register the body’s fragility.
