In Los 15 beneficios de la yaca, Gálvez brings together fire, water, bodies, fruit, signs and fields of color within a composition that feels both playful and strange. The jackfruit appears as a central motif, but it does not organize the image in a literal way: it becomes part of a network of associations where the natural, the ritual, the everyday and the symbolic mix without fixed hierarchies.
The work operates through the contrast between recognizable scenes and more open-ended signs. Fire and water, fruit and star, bodies in motion and planes of color construct an image that seems to build itself through accumulation, as if each fragment added a clue to a narrative that never fully closes. In that tension, Gálvez turns painting into a space of active imagination, where meaning emerges through collision, montage and association.
