Description
In El peligro del futuro, Juan Gálvez constructs a fragmented image where different scenes, symbols and pictorial registers coexist. The composition brings together a reclining body, a monumental thorn, a seascape, a nocturnal figure, plants, geometric signs and blocks of color that operate as parts of the same visual system in tension.
The work treats the surface as a montage: each section seems to open a possible narrative, yet none of them fully dominates the others. Through this intersection of nature, threat, body and artifice, Gálvez makes the construction of the image visible and turns the painting into a contemporary kind of board, where the future appears less as a promise than as a zone of alert.
