Salvador Dalí
The Glory That Was Spain, 1975
-
In this late work, Dalí returns to Spanish history as a territory of vision, memory and myth. The image seems to emerge between architecture, landscape and apparition, sustained by a vibrant line that preserves the graphic intensity of drypoint and the chromatic delicacy of pochoir.
Executed in drypoint and pochoir on Arches paper, the piece belongs to an edition of 175 and was published by Atelier Rigal. It is signed in pencil and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The work is referenced in Michler & Löpsinger 821, p. 247.
