Description
Juan Carlos Castagnino
Woman Behind the Fence
-
Castagnino constructs a half-length portrait using pencil and crayon. The face and hands emerge among earth tones, purples, and greens, while a network of lines crosses the figure and background, reinforcing the composition’s graphic tension.
The work focuses on the woman’s expression and on the contrast between the physical presence of the body and the linear structure surrounding it, combining observation, synthesis, and gestural energy.
