Description

Osvaldo Argento

Untitled (Landscape with trees)

-

In this landscape, Osvaldo Argento transforms the grove into a succession of violet, green and dark forms that cut across the horizon. Free brushwork and black lines running over the surface give the scene an energy close to abstraction without losing its reference to the landscape.

The work bears a handwritten dedication from the artist to Mario and Alicia Mayer, dated December 1995, with New Year wishes for 1996.
