In Un zorrito sobre un hombre, Pilar Saracini constructs an intimate scene shaped by the unusual coexistence of a human body and an animal presence. A reclining man appears surrounded by deep blues, while a small red fox rests on him like a domestic, affectionate and slightly unsettling apparition.
The work brings together several key aspects of Saracini’s practice: the fragility of living beings, the bond between bodies, light as an emotional atmosphere and painting’s ability to transform an everyday situation into an open-ended scene. The animal operates not only as a character, but as a sign of care, companionship and poetic displacement within an image where the familiar becomes unexpected.
