“Mujercita” rises from the purity of a line. Standing, with her arms drawn inward, the figure seems to hold the instant between vulnerability and affirmation. There is no face, yet there is gesture; no word, yet a presence that inhabits the space with both softness and firmness.
The bronze, dark and light, traces the memory of what is essential: the body as a way of being and of standing in the world. In her verticality, Anzorena finds a balance between delicacy and power, between grace and the strength of existing.
