Listening - Liliana Porter, 2017

Description

Liliana Porter

Listening, 2017

-

In Listening, a small figure occupies only a fraction of the sheet, surrounded by an extensive white field. The scene’s minimal gesture focuses attention on waiting and listening.

Porter uses reduced scale and emptiness to build situations of strong narrative intensity, in which everyday characters take on a poetic and slightly absurd dimension.
