Merlina Famularo is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker whose practice spans sculpture, immersive installations, performance and moving images. Trained in Film Directing at Universidad del Cine, she develops her own artistic universe in El Jardín de Merlina, an ever-expanding project in which hybrid creatures, insects, imaginary plants and fantastic ecosystems coexist in settings that blur the boundaries between nature, dreams and imagination. Her work proposes a sensitive approach to the invisible, inviting us to discover latent worlds in nature and recover a sense of wonder through immersive experiences.
In 2024, she collaborated with artist Nikole Tursi on Beyond the Art of Craft in London, taking part in the development, installation and performative presentation of the exhibition. She also participated in projects including Tursi’s Memorias del Futuro (2023) and Aaron Nachtailer’s Nomad. In 2026, she co-directed Abi Gail’s music video Eternal Night, which received the Video Prisma award for Best Post-production, and conceived and made its central creature. That same year, in collaboration with artist and designer Micaela Etcheverry, she created The Realm of the Suspended Garden, her first large-scale immersive installation. She lives and works in Buenos Aires, where she continues to expand El Jardín de Merlina as an artistic ecosystem in permanent transformation.
