Ana Cecilia Ortíz, known artistically as Zia Margaret, is a poet, visual artist, and fashion designer born in Luján. Her creative universe —which she calls Poe.Zia— is a space where words, textiles, and nature intertwine to generate sensitive and communal experiences.

In her poetic practice, she develops the idea of Poe-linization: fragments of her texts printed on recycled fabrics that spread across squares, parks, and public spaces, like seeds of language dispersed throughout the territory. Writing thus becomes a collective gesture, a trace that links the intimate with the shared.

Zia has also stood out in costume and theatrical design, with works presented at Teatro Maipo and Teatro Seminari Escobar under the direction of Osvaldo Laport. Her exhibitions incorporate organic materials —leaves, petals, shells— intervened with typewritten poems, creating pieces that inhabit the space between the ephemeral and the permanent.

In December 2023, she presented her first poetry collection at the Biblioteca Ameghino, in an event that combined reading, music, and visual arts, consolidating her proposal as a 360° experience where poetry unfolds in dialogue with other disciplines and sensibilities.

Her work, crossed by the autobiographical and the natural, invites us to pause and recognize ourselves as part of a larger weave. In the artist’s own words: “It’s my life I’m inviting you into.”
