Description
In the series "Guarda", Toia Salvay constructs a series where the gaze lingers on the minimal. The images, contained in tiny formats, isolate fragments of the everyday—objects, details, close-ups—that appear as units of attention. Scale and framing activate a concentrated perception, where what is near acquires an unexpected intensity. The paintings propose these fragments as gestures of preservation, where memory settles into the smallest things.
