In Es cosa e’ Mandinga, the artist presents the body as a field of material and symbolic intensity. Monochromy and the figure’s torsion concentrate the scene into a gesture of extreme interiority. Color acts as affective matter that shapes both volume and emotion. The painting situates bodily experience as an expressive core in which the intimate acquires ritual resonance.
