In the series Percepciones resquebrajadas, Piero Vicente explores the fragility of contemporary man. His figures appear crossed by routines that distort, everyday gestures that become uneasy, images that verge on the absurd and the grotesque. Within them there is an absent presence: characters who seem to inhabit a world of their own, yet at the same time carry the shadow of the collective.
Matter accumulates like an insistent murmur—layers of paint, re-signified objects, strokes that seek not harmony but tension. Each work becomes a device that confronts us with the confusion of our time: a cracked mirror where the intimate and the social merge into a shared disorientation.
