On Saturday, February 28, Cassia House became the setting for an afternoon where literature took center stage within the exhibition space. As part of Vida Metropolitana, a group exhibition curated by Catalina Bagnato Irigoyen, the gallery hosted the open mic of Buenos Aires in 100 Words, featuring a public reading of the winning stories from the latest edition of the contest organized by Fundación Plagio and the City Government.
The activity created a natural intersection between word and image. Throughout the afternoon, the voices of those reading their stories traced small cartographies of urban life: fleeting scenes, everyday gestures, and intimate views of a city that constantly transforms and reinvents itself through each narrative. Each text—brief and precise—opened a window onto Buenos Aires through the sensibility of those who inhabit it.

The readings resonated among the works of Natalia Karbabian, Camila Oets, Denise Bande, Pablo Pakciarz, and Danny Scherman, generating an unexpected dialogue between languages. In this way, the urban experience unfolded through writing as well, adding new layers of interpretation and shared memory.
We would like to especially thank everyone who joined us for this afternoon of readings and encounters, and Bodega Canteros for accompanying the event with their selection of beverages for the toast.
